In the middle of May, I was scrolling through Instagram when an ad for a sparkling bikini caught my eye. This picture brought me back to growing up in the original Y2K era–with all things glitter and sparkle–but also with a hint of modernity as the bikini was in a somewhat muted color. A muted burgundy color made radiant by sparkles, I thought this would be a unique piece to spend my summer in.
