It’s time to unwind-

Let go of my thoughts from the day, enter a headspace of pure tranquility, and ease into my carefully made bed with a novel of choice in hand. No morning revival can be complete without attention to my nighttime routine, composed precisely to prepare for a soundless sleep.

The Skin:

I begin by cleansing away any product buildup to allow for a bare-faced base that will be the palette for tomorrow’s makeup application. To follow, I apply a touch of night serum, first warming up in the palms of my hand, then carefully patting into the skin. My face is left dewy, renewed and clearer than ever.

An overnight detox oil is always a must. Applied directly before moisturizer, each ingredient provides for a visibly fresh-looking complexion by morning. I finalize my routine with my holy grail product; a nightly retexturing cream. As I feel the product exfoliate each skin cell, my face is instantly hydrated, feeling soft to the touch.

The Space:

Skincare is just one step in activating my sleep mode. The atmosphere must look and play the part— in my case, surrounded by the scent of blooming peony, rose and geranium in a candlelit just beside my bed. Beside it, I allow my cup of chamomile to cool down as I gently stir in just a dash of honey for flavor. The contained antioxidants lead to an enhanced sleep quality like no other.

As I feel my eyes begin to close, my mind at ease, I rest my head on a silk pillowcase that leaves my morning hair kept the same as the night before. The satin texture touches my skin ever so softly, as I begin to dose off, dreaming of what tomorrow may bring.
