REVAMPING THE LBD
Ah, the little black dress, a staple of any woman’s closet. From dinners to daywear, dates and dances, the LBD gets a lot of wear. As a result, it’s easy to get bored with the basics. Here are some ways to add a little spice to your wardrobe in the form of a little black dress.
Add a little sparkle
Your jewelry doesn't have to be the only thing that sparkles (aside form your personality, of course) adding some shimmer, whether it be a fringe, or edging for the neckline or underbust will be sure to make your look shine.
Play with the neckline
Basic strapless and sweetheart necklines can get tired over time. Adding a plunge, or a dip in the neckline can liven up the look.
Add some cutouts
Take your scissors and go to work! No, I’m just kidding. But cutouts are a great way to revamp a look. Putting them in unexpected places can be even better.
Change the silhouette
In my experience, I’ve noticed that most LBD’s are quite form fitting. Something to spice up the look would be to change the silhouette! Go for some tulle to add some lift, or a more structured look.
Accessorize
Another great way to add some pizazz is to accessorize, and I’m not talking just jewelry. Of course, a great pair of earrings, or a dazzling necklace is always a good idea, but with accessories you can get a little creative. Gloves, both sheer and satin, have been trending recently, and they are a great way to add some flair to a basic dress.
