OGEE BLUSH: A REVIEW
I have been a die-hard Milk Makeup girl since they first came out with their Makeup Stick Lip and Cheek Tint. The color was perfect. The layering ability, amazing, and the look was oh-so natural. But that changed when I got my Ogee Sculpted Face Stick…
*While Ogee was kind enough to send the product to me to test out, this is in no way sponsored.
Ogee is a clean beauty brand where all the makeup and skincare is designed with the intent to create the cleanest, and most organic products possible. Many of their products include anti-aging benefits, and are suitable for all skin types, be it oily, dry, or combination.
I have combination skin, but have been breaking out on my cheeks even when I don’t wear makeup. I can safely say, though, that Ogee is not a contributing factor to my breakouts. The formula is lightweight and creamy without being oily, and gets an A+ in the blending category—even more so than Milk Makeup. I personally use the shade “Carnelian” which is described as a luminous coral with some shimmer.
The differences between Milk Makeups Stick Lip and Cheek Tint (mine is in the shade “Werk”) and Ogee’s sculpted face stick in the shade “Carnelian” are subtle, but for me are enough to warrant Ogee coming out on top. While Werk is more pigmented, Carnelian is more easy to blend and layer, which creates a more natural finish. The formula of Carnelian is a bit more creamy than Werk, which I personally like, because it adds to the blending quality. Werk is a solid color, while Carnelian contains a bit of shimmer, which I find makes my face look a little bit brighter without looking like built in highlighter (I still swear by Milk’s stick highlighter for a natural glow).
Overall, while very similar, Ogee does come out on top. The small differences are what makes it so special, and you can’t go wrong with a clean, and organic formula.
