FALL EDIT: RUNWAY BEAUTY TRENDS
It’s been a minute since the temperatures stopped sweltering, and believe it or not, September is here. So we have compiled a list of the top beauty trends for Fall 22, handpicked from the runways.
1. Natural glowy look:
Fresh, effortless, and naturally glowing skin trend is not new, but it is all the rage this season, from runway shows (like Dior’s) to beauty influencers. Start with a foundation that perfectly matches your skin tone, followed by a concealer to make everything look seamless and unified. Apply a cream blush to add a pop of color to your cheeks, and lightly brush your brows. Finish off with mascara and nude lipstick.
2. Sparkles:
A little sparkle in life never hurts nobody! The metallic paint eyeshadows from Gucci’s runway made for the perfect touch of sparkle to complete a look. You can either go full throttle with a full sparkly eyeshadow or just add a tinge of sparkle to the inner corner of your eyes for a more subtle look. Even embellishments and crystals are in, which means all the more options for you to choose from. Take your pick!
3. Pops of Color:
From fashion to beauty trends, colors are everywhere this fall. The bold eye makeup looks with bright pops of color at Valentino provided a huge dopamine boost to our souls. But if that is too much for you, you can opt for a bright color eyeliner for a toned-down look. In any case, have fun with colors!
4. Smoky eyes:
Dark smokey looks are almost always associated with fall, and it’s no surprise that we saw a lot of it on the runways at Saint Laurent and Versace. To pull off the look, keep everything else natural and use a black eyeshadow for the deep, dark aesthetic. Another alternative is using a black eyeliner to draw bold and accentuated lines around your eyes.
5. Dark Lips:
Fall is the season the dark lipsticks come out to establish their presence. From straight-up black lips to blue lips at Gucci, deep burgundy lips at Rochas, and hues of purple at Versace, the options are vast. Start with an overall natural makeup and put on your favorite shade of dark lipstick, and you’re ready to fall into the magic of fall.
6. Bleached Brows:
It has been a minute since thin brows came into the trends, and now we have a new addition to the list of brow trends - Bleached brows. We saw a lot of it at multiple runway shows, from Versace to Burberry. The jury is still out on what we, at Vanity Stories, think about the look. So we have decided to leave this one to you guys.
