Bare Face Makeup Look — VANITY STORIES

While I am someone who loves any excuse to get glam, I also look forward to the days when I am able to focus on skin health and letting my skin breathe. After washing away the sleep by splashing some ice-cold water on my face, I will leisurely go through my daytime skincare routine.

Every day, I will massage in a serum followed by a lightweight moisturizer. As someone who has normal-to-oily skin, I will save the richer creams for nighttime. I try to incorporate SPF into my routine every day (and you should, too!) especially if I am going to be running errands or spending time outdoors. My routine in the morning is short and sweet but works as a great base no matter the look.

If I want to feel more put-together (sometimes, I find this helps with my productivity), I will comb a tinted brow gel through my brows and sweep on a light layer of mascara. I always make sure to have a lip balm with me at all times to keep my lips plump and hydrated throughout my day– bonus points if it also contains SPF!

Incorporating more of these no-makeup days has helped so much with embracing my natural beauty. Even on days when I do wear makeup, I do not feel the need to hide behind a mask of products, but rather enhance my features to proudly show off.
