WHAT TO WEAR TO A FILM FESTIVAL
Everynow and then we all ask the question: “What should I wear?” When it comes to film festivals everyone must come dressed to impress because you have no idea who to run into.
Screenings: When you are actually watching the films at the festival you are still going to be in a theater. You’ll want to be comfortable and fashionable at the same time. I suggest a pair of pants with a solid color t-shirt or blouse topped with a cover like a cardigan or lightweight jacket.
Dressed-up Casual:
Reception: This is ultimately a networking event, so you differentially want to dress to impress. Here you will meet donors, reporters, filmmakers, festival directors and so on. For this event, I recommend a mid length cocktail dress with a satin like material paid with a solid color heel or wedge.
Cocktail Attire:
Gala: This is THE event of the festival. Directors will be rewarded for all of their hard work in creating an Oscar nominee worthy film. I recommend maxi - to - mid length dress paired with heels and a statement piece of jewelry.
