THE TRAVELING MASK
What I love about traveling is the ability to be unknown while exploring what is unknown to me. I adore the thought that a stranger can pass by me and wonder who I am? Where am I from? What is my backstory? To them I am a person passing them by on the street, or at a restaurant, or on the train–and maybe they find me fascinating enough to create their own version of my identity in their head.
The circumstances that we currently face since the year of 2020 have been unfortunate, but maybe we can find the positives in traveling with a mask on our face. No, it’s not a glamorous Dr. Barbara Sturm Clarifying Mask; it’s a medical mask meant to keep us safe–but, we can use it as a fashion statement. To bring light to these positive times we can have fun with our masks.
