THE BEST OF LONDON SHOPPING
Famous for setting trends and sporting the latest couture, the London fashion scene has a diverse selection of styles and designs, influencing trends worldwide for numerous decades.
On a recent trip to London, I had only one week to navigate the best of the best stores in England’s Capital. Despite the overwhelming number of places to shop, here are some of the best ones:
Brick Lane Vintage Market
Brick Lane Market is any shopping lover’s dream. Open every day, the market comprises many stores with diverse price points, and it is infamous for having unique vintage designer pieces. The market has wonderful stores such as Seratonin Vintage, NonStop Vintage, Here After, House of Vintage, and the famous Brick Lane Vintage Market Shop.
70’s, 80’s, 90’s; they have it all!
Portobello Road’s Market
This Kensignton street market has a perfect combination of delicious food and even better shopping. With both stores open every day and a pop-up market every weekend, Portobello Road is an amazing choice to shop for all types of luxury clothing; old or new!
Obsessed with the Y2K style? Every Friday and Saturday, the market hosts various pop-up shops with famous vintage designer sellers such as Poppy’s Girl Vintage, Curated by Kitty, and Wings Market.
However, if you can’t make the market on the weekends, do not fret. Every day, stores open along the road that sells killer designer clothes and accessories. My personal favorites include Pepper Tree London, Lover’s Lane Vintage, Lime Green Bow Vintage, and a notorious handbag store, This Old Thing London.
Oxford Street
Don’t worry if vintage isn’t your thing. Oxford Street, in Westminster lives up to its name to be Europe’s busiest shopping road. It has around 300 shops and hosts over 200 million visitors a year. Luxury stores like Dr. Martens, Mango, Zara, and even Urban Outfitters, the options are unlimited. The street is, however, not limited to clothing. Beauty stores take up the street with amazing stores such as Dyson, Lush, and Boots, providing a shopping experience for all ages.
Harrods
Do you even know luxury shipping if you haven’t heard of Harrods? Harrods, one of the most famous department stores in the world, holds the only physical location in Knightsbridge, London. Harrods holds 6 floors of the “it” stores such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Prada, Miu Miu, and so many others. With a salon, a food court, and a floor dedicated to each segment of luxury; beauty, menswear, womenswear, fragrance, and watches or jewelry, how could you ever leave?
As I browsed through the department store, these specific pieces really caught my eye:
SANDRO Leather Sweet Janet Baguette Bag
Jimmy Choo Dreece 95 Leather Knee-High Boots

SANDRO
Leather Sweet Janet Baguette Bag
A baguette bag is a small and narrow style that’s inspired by the shape of – you guessed it – a French baguette. It thus seems incredibly fitting that Parisian label Sandro chooses to include the cult silhouette in its latest collection, with its updated Sweet Janet iteration giving the ‘90s classic a run for its money: or dough, should we say.
JIMMY CHOO
Dreece 95 Leather Knee-High Boots
Black boots are a perennial in every wardrobe, and come in many different guises – each one equally worthy of a spot in your shoe collection. When it comes to the heeled, knee-high variety, you can rely on Jimmy Choo and its Dreece iteration. Crafted in butter-soft leather, its sleek, point-toe silhouette is neatly complemented by a matching strap at the ankle, with its subtle gold hardware adding confident polish.
THE ROW
Silk Satin Guinevere Maxi Dress
The Row is known for its effortless and sophisticated silhouettes, using the crème de la crème of materials. This majestic Guinevere maxi dress is crafted from the smoothest silk satin – in fact, it’s so light, that it feels like it’s been crafted from air. The slip design adds an intimate feel while also commanding the room.
BOTTEGA VENETA
Mini Leather Jodie Bag
Fresh from the label's irresistible accessory line-up, Bottega Veneta's Jodie bag is primed to make its debut in your new-season edit. The resurgence of the handheld bag was a focal point of the House’s latest collection – updated for the zeitgeist with a slouchy shape, the signature Intrecciato weave and a playful chunky knot to the strap.
