MOMENTS WITH ROSÉ

After a long week consumed by work, I never find any shame in looking forward to that first glass of Rosé, fresh with flavor and chilled to perfection. As I count down those final minutes till when the weekend hits, I decipher between the endless options that could fill my glass tonight. Will it be a semi-sweet choice, enriched with aromas of sweet pea and peony, straight from the vineyards of Provence? Or maybe something bubbly, such as a sparkling Brut Rosé with a palette of ripe red berries and grapefruit, bringing me back to those summer nights I crave so desperately.

Tonight is a girls-night in, so I decide upon both for either preference. I host my dearest friends for what has become our weekly ritual, a relaxing time I’d never pass up on to ring in the weekend. Once they arrive, the room is quickly absorbed with sounds of endless laughter and the faint clink of each wine glass, after our celebratory “cheers,” which we can’t go without. This particular week, we simply cheers for ourselves. The next few hours continue with an array of hors d’oeuvres, a rom-com we’ve all seen far too many times to count, and the continuous flow of Rosé, of course. I find myself in a state of simple bliss during our Friday night endeavors, which we spend temporarily easing away from the chaos and bustle of our days and take a moment to enjoy the little things life has to offer. As the night comes to a closing, I say my farewells with tired eyes, draw a warm bath submerged in lavender-scented bubbles, then fall asleep dreaming about what my future moments with Rosé will bring.
