ICONIC BLONDES

Do blondes have more fun? While that may still be up for debate, we do know that there have been tons of iconic blonde looks throughout history. Here are some of our faves to give you inspo:

Marilyn Monroe:

Arguably the most iconic blonde in history, Marilyn Monroe is known for her platinum blonde hair and signature red lip. This is a bold combo because the contrast of the fiery red lip with the angelic-like almost white hair balances each other in the most perfect way.

Pamela Anderson:

After Hulu’s “Pam and Tommy,” the internet became re-obsessed with Anderson– and for obvious reasons. She is known for her iconic roles in Baywatch and Barb Wire, and for her countless shoots with magazines like Playboy. Being in a relationship with Tommy Lee, founding member of the heavy metal band, Mötely Crüe, Anderson embodied the “rockstar girlfriend” look to a “T.” While she took on an edgier style during this time, her femininity still shone through which created her iconic look. Her look wouldn’t be complete without skinny brows and brown lipliner!

Anna-Nicole Smith:

Like Anderson, Anna-Nicole Smith was hugely successful throughout her career as a model and actress. She is most known for her modeling in Playboy but also modeled for big-name clothing brands such as Guess. She is known for her incredible smile and her voluminous blonde curls worked into an effortless updo.

Blake Lively:

Think of the “girl next door,” and you have Blake Lively. After starring in Gossip Girl in the early 2000s, Lively had a ton of iconic outfits. From hobo bags to over-the-knee, slouchy boots, to club dresses and bulky jewelry, she is the perfect inspo for your next Y2K outfit. Going back to her “girl-next-door” vibe, Lively’s makeup and hair always look effortless and natural.

Margot Robbie:

Margot Robbie has starred in a variety of film genres, and her look is extremely versatile. Her most iconic film look is from The Wolf of Wall Street, where she sports voluminous, side-parted hair with side-swept bangs. To finish off, a sultry smokey eye makes her eyes pop for an ultra-sexy look.

Candice Swanepoel:

Think about peak Victoria’s Secret, and you’ll probably think about Candace Swanepoel. Besides a fabulous, signature VS blowout, Swanepoel always looked sun-kissed and glowy. And, we can’t ignore her chiseled cheekbones and plump, glossy lips!

Paris Hilton:

Whenever I hear “Paris Hilton,” I immediately think all things pink, glittery, and Y2K. Hilton’s style during the early 2000s was absolutely iconic, and we see her as inspo for many of the Y2K trends that are being brought back today. Pink and blonde hair are the perfect pairing; feminine, flirty, and girly– you can’t go wrong!
