TRAVELING SKIN
Who doesn't love to travel? I particularly love it. I enjoy traveling to places with beaches, snow, farms, mountains... and for me, one of the most exciting parts is taking a plane to each destination. However, I'm sure I'm not the only one who notices how dry my skin gets, impacting my makeup after a flight. This is often due to the air on the plane having almost no humidity, which causes the skin to dry out.
To make sure my skin always stays hydrated, I follow a step-by-step skincare routine before each flight.
Before I leave, I always bring a case with treatment and makeup products in case I want to redo my makeup before arriving at my destination. To keep the skin hydrated during the flight, I must remove any access product before application, even if I did a skincare routine before heading to the airport. So I start by cleaning my face with micellar water or a makeup remover wipe, making sure the skin is 100% prepped for application.
The first product to be applied is an eye cream, as this area is naturally drier than the rest of the face. The second step will be to apply a treatment serum of choice (with vitamin c, hyaluronic acid, or anti-aging benefits), preferably one that is water-based. After the serum is absorbed by the skin, I apply a moisturizer, which will be responsible for keeping the serum water on the skin and staying hydrated. Last but not least, sunscreen if I am traveling during the day. This product is a must-have for my routine. After all the products have been absorbed, I can reapply my makeup as I approach my destination.
When following this routine, I no longer have to worry about dry skin while traveling. These simple steps will make a huge difference in the appearance of the skin, leaving me to arrive beaming at my destination and ready to take my first photo!
