She wakes up to the sounds of roosters crowing and beautiful mountain views through her bedroom windows. Clean air, sunshine, and vibrant blue skies await her outside her grandmother’s humble cottage in the south of Greece. 

Before she gets out of bed, she takes a moment to pause and reflect. She gives thanks for the blessing of another beautiful day and sets her intentions. She focuses on all that she has to be grateful for. Her body, heart, and spirit are calm. She visualizes all that she dreams of and plans to make her reality. Nothing is impossible when you believe and know in your heart that it will be yours. She is the artist and creator of her life. With a smile on her face, she rises, takes a deep breath, and prepares for the day ahead of her.

After she has washed up and said her good mornings to her family, she steps outside onto the balcony. Her bare feet are met by the warm, natural stone beneath her. The sounds of cicadas sing loudly, like music to her ears. She gazes up and admires the grapevines hanging above her head from the pergola. These vines have survived centuries and mean so much to her and her family. They symbolize the resilience, courage, and ambition of her ancestors who had worked endless hours on their farms to feed their families. Her ancestors left their homeland for a better life, in pursuit of the American dream. She thanks them silently for their sacrifices and the harvest she now reaps because of them. 

Now, as she enjoys her European getaway, the grapevines shade her from the incredibly strong Mediterranean sun that beats down. The grapevines remind her to never give up and always dream big. She can feel her ancestors watching over her and guiding her. Her resilience, determination, and ambition to succeed are gifts that she will forever cherish and uphold. She is fearless. 

Walking to the edge of the balcony, she takes in the incredibly breathtaking view that stretches afar. Thousands of olive trees and the biggest mountains she has ever laid her eyes upon stare back at her from a distance. The lively yet tranquil colors of the earth fill her heart with peace and an abundance of love. 

She closes her eyes and listens to the beautiful sounds of birds chirping and cicadas singing. The natural sounds of mother nature remind her that she is not alone in this big world. There is something about Greece that makes her feel more at peace than she has ever felt in her entire life. She smiles and looks up, knowing that deep down in her heart she is being guided and protected by her guardian angels.
