It’s July, the height of summer. It’s time to feel the heat of summer while looking stunning in this year’s trends. Summer trends tend to influence the trends of the upcoming back-to-school season. Here are the top 10 Summer Wardrobe Must Haves from a Vanity Stories Girl: 

LINEN

Linen! Linen has been a very prominent trend this summer as linen is easily accessible and affordable. Linen looks great on everyone and can make every outfit complete. The versatility of linen can allow you to reach that “clean girl” aesthetic or the “coastal grandmother” aesthetic. 

BROW GEL

Not necessarily a wardrobe piece, but completes the look nonetheless–brow gel has been trending in the beauty world as it extenuates one’s brows without looking fake. Clear or tinted brow gel controls and defines our brows while giving our look certain naturality to it. Similar to the linen trend, a brow gel can help us to achieve the “clean girl” aesthetic.  

LIQUID BLUSH

Another beauty trend to accentuate our natural beauty while still looking natural is liquid blush. Liquid blush gives our cheeks a natural-looking glow with a smooth and radiant finish. Pair liquid blush with brow gel for a simple, yet stunning, clean girl look.

FLARE PANTS

Like it or not, flare pants have made a comeback. A once retro item is making a comeback in a new and modern way. When asked about Emma Chamberlain’s “summer uniform”, she said “If it’s hot out, I basically wear the exact same thing; long skirt, scrunched-up socks, a pair of loafers and then a basic tank top.” Scrunched-up socks with any outfit can complete the “French girl” aesthetic or the “old money” look.
