SUMMER HAIR

It can be tempting to throw your hair up in a regular old ponytail when the weather starts heating up. Here are four summer-y styles to spice up your summer hair game.

  1. Claw Clips

Claw clips have resurfaced to become one of the hottest hair accessories, and for good reason. They are just as easy to do as a ponytail but look ten times cuter. Coming in various colors, patterns, and shapes, you are bound to find a claw clip to match any outfit. Hair hack: throw on hair treatment and slick your hair into a claw clip. You’ll have that “clean girl” aesthetic while nourishing your locks in the process!

  2. Braids

They’re not as difficult as they seem! Braids are such a versatile style, and there are so many types. Keep hair out of your face while still keeping it down by braiding just the front strands of your hair. If you’re up for the challenge, trying out braiding styles like bubble braids or fishtail braids are great options if you’re sick of the usual three-strand braid. Bonus: for those with curly and coily hair, braids are a great protective style!

  3. Head Scarves

Taking TikTok by storm, headscarves are another beautiful hair accessory that is perfect for all hair types. Not only can you match them to your outfit, but you can also wear them to fit your personal style.

  4. “Wet Hair”

You’ve probably seen this look on celebrities such as the Kardashians/ Jenners, Megan Fox, Bella Hadid, and more. Wet hair is stunning if you want to serve summer-y, mermaid-princess realness. To start, if you don’t already have wavy or curly hair, you will want to give yourself some beachy/curly tresses. Next, gently comb through the waves with your fingers while applying a mix of hair gel and a hair styling cream. Once you are satisfied with how the hair looks, apply a wave spray and a light mist of hairspray for good measure.

Whatever look you choose to sport this summer, healthy hair is key to making these styles look their best. Making sure to nourish your hair with the right products like your daily shampoo and conditioner, masks, and leave-in products will help transform your hair into any style.
