QUENCHING THIRSTY SKIN

It’s that time of the year again when we enjoy our flannel sweaters, and Ugg boots and get cozy inside as the weather outside gets more relaxed. There are many reasons to love the fall season but having dry skin is not one of them. As we all know, when Fall comes around the temperature drops and so does the humidity, which makes the air quality a little dry. This can lead to dryer skin that needs a little more TLC. The good news is that you can quench your dry skin’s thirst by including some new essentials in your daily skincare routine.

Avoiding Hot Showers: I get it, a hot shower after spending the day out in cooler weather is very appealing but your skin might not love it as much as you do. The hot water can dry out your skin even more and always takes some of the skin's natural oils. Lukewarm showers are the way to go this fall to keep your skin smooth. But if you need a nice hot shower...keep it short!

Hand Cream: No one likes having dry itchy hands especially when it’s cold out. Keeping a small hand lotion in your bag will come in handy this fall and the rest of the year.

Hand Cream Recommendations:

Moisture:  Moisturizer is an essential part of any skincare routine but while fall begins it's time to switch it up a little. Dermatologists recommend using a richer formless moisturizer that is unscented compared to a lightweight moisturizer that you would use in the spring or summer time.

Moisturizer Recommendations:

Facials: It doesn’t have to be Fall time to get a facial but whether it's at home or done by a professional, getting a facial regularly can help smooth your skin and remove old skin cells. This self-care routine isn’t only a relaxing experience but your skin will thank you too by dedicating some TLC.
