CROISSANT CRUMBS PARIS EDITION

Are you a foodie? And do you have a sweet tooth? Follow along to discover Paris's hidden secrets and where to find the best croissants. As we all know, Paris is known for its rich and savory sweets. I had the pleasure of traveling along Paris this summer and discovering where the hot spots are.

My first quick dine-in was at Carette, where they are known for their delicious croissants, hot chocolate, and macaroons. I felt compelled to try it all, resulting in a stomach ache! However, it was worth it. I ended up getting a plain warmed croissant that tasted like no other. But I asked myself, is this really the best, or are there more hidden gems around Paris to try? I also got a Nutella and vanilla macaroon which were to die for. The hot chocolate was displayed so fancy as they poured it for you in this little tea cup. Then on the side, there is a bowl of whipped cream that you swirl around in your mug. It was amazing! After this dessert was served and I was full to the max, I told myself that my next dessert destination would need to be for tomorrow.

The day after, I walked into Jozi Cafe, which had endless options. I got a latte with oat milk and was dreaming later about how good it was. They had all the sweet treats you could imagine, from blueberry muffins to chocolate croissants to basic plain fruit cups to more and more macaroons. This time I was eager to try the chocolate croissant. I said a prayer for my lactose intolerant stomach and wished for the best. It was absolutely divine and worth every bite. I told them I’d definitely be back as it was within walking distance to my hotel. This cafe was dangerously close.

As my Paris trip was coming to an end, I was able to taste and experience all these delicious foods and treats. I thought to myself that this wouldn’t be a complete Paris trip if I didn’t get one more croissant before exiting this beautiful country. I picked up a croissant along the way to Rue de L’Universite, sat down on a bench, and enjoyed the view of the Eiffel Tower in a distance. I took a few pictures and selfies biting into my croissant. “This is the life,” I said. After finishing my last few crumbs, I reapplied my lipgloss, only realizing that I should have reapplied before I took my selfies! Looks like I will just have to come back to Paris again….or get another croissant…
