Have you ever felt that the darkness of your under eye takes away from your entire makeup look? I know that I struggle with covering my eye bags after a long night of studying or the inability to sleep. Concealer can only go so far at times. This is why the newest under eye trend has helped me brighten my makeup look. Ombre under eyes, which is also known as ombre concealer, is a new trend that helps brighten your under eyes.

This newer trend can be done in a couple of different ways, with a small difference in how many products you use. When I attempted my hand at the ombre concealer, I found that I preferred to use two different shades of liquid concealer and two different shades of liquid blush. Some people use three shades of concealer. When picking out what shades of concealers to choose from, you want to have the lightest shade to be two shades away from your foundation and the second shade to be only a shade off of your current concealer.

The key is to use the lightest shade of concealer in the corner of your under-eye by your nose and move to the darkest shade of blush through dot application. Remember that the trick to this trend is to use liquid products.

The order that I tend to go in from lightest shade to darkest blush is Pat McGrath's Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Concealer in shade Light 1, which has pinkish undertones, to Trish McEvoy's Instant Eye Lift in Shade 1, before moving on to the blushes. The blushes that I used was NARS Afterglow Liquid Blush in shade Dolce Vita as my lightest shade before applying Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk Matte Beauty Blush Wand in the shade Pillow Talk Dream Pop.

After placing each dot along your under eye, go in with either a sponge or a brush to blend the colors together. I use Beauty Affairs VANI-T Beauty Sponge- Makeup Applicator. For those who prefer makeup brushes, Beauty Affairs GA-DE Professional Brush (Blusher) can help blend together each shade to help create the finished look. From there, adding a bit of translucent setting powder helps bring together the finished makeup look with a fluffy powder brush. My go-to is always Laura Mercier's Translucent Loose Setting Powder, along with Beauty Affairs INIKA Powder Brush.
